CompTIA DataAI (formerly DataX)

CompTIA DataAI (formerly DataX) is an expert-level certification that validates advanced skills in data science, machine learning, and AI for experienced data professionals. It covers mathematics and statistics, modeling and analysis, machine learning (including deep learning, supervised, and unsupervised methods), MLOps and data science operations, and specialized applications such as NLP and computer vision. The exam features both multiple-choice and performance-based questions with pass/fail scoring (no scaled score). CompTIA recommends 5+ years of experience in data science or a similar role. Launched July 2024 as DataX, it was rebranded to DataAI in January 2026 while retaining the same DY0-001 exam code and content. It serves as the capstone expert-level certification in CompTIA's data pathway, following Data+ and DataSys+.
